Evelyn Marie Thomas

Evelyn Marie (Bequette) Thomas, age 92, passed away on May 25, 2022 peacefully ending a long, hard battle against Alzheimers. She will be remembered for putting her family first, wicked sense of humor, fabulous cooking and her determination to be complete any task she put her mind to, such as, returning to school to obtain her GED. Nana enjoyed belonging to a bowling league, crossword puzzles (and she was good at them), dirt track racing in Riverside (always bringing along a bag of Peanut M&Ms), Oreo cookies with an occasional beer, the Royals & Chiefs, and listening to talk radio.

Evelyn met and married W.R. “Bill” Thomas with whom she was married for 61 years and had 2 daughters. She is survived by daughters Sharon (Jim) Kincaid and Karen Thomas; 5 grandchildren Rachel, Jason, Kris, Adam, Jessi; 4 great grandchildren Caitlyn, Kristine, Riley, Savannah and 1 great great grandchild Isabella.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Bill, parents Joseph & Bertha, 5 brothers, other family & friends, and many beloved pets.

Nana, we will never forget your love for us, your steadfast beliefs and the way you laughed when trying to tell a story. We love you and you are and will be greatly missed.

A burial service for Evelyn will be held Friday, June 3, 2022 at 11:00am at White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119.
