Fred "Gene" Senter

Gene was born October 4, 1926 in Stark City, Missouri to Melvin A. Senter and Fannie M. Sloniker. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Fannie Hubbard; his father, Melvin Senter; one brother, James Senter; and sisters, Mary Jackson and Ethel Hayes. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Norma Weeks Senter; three children, Steve Sr. (Bonnie), Cristeena Ficke (Bob) and Eilene Senter; sister, Donnalu Loman (Ron) of Austin Colorado; brother, Jerry Senter; and sister, Sandy Bruno of Kansas City.

Gene's pride and joy were his six grandchildren, Steve Senter, Jr., Amy L. Senter, Katie Moreno (Mike), Amanda Kidner (Wade). Melissa Loper (Tim) and Robert Ficke. He was blessed with eleven great grandchildren and also leaves behind one great great grandson.

Gene retired from General Motors in 1976 after putting in 30 years. He was always busy doing things for others. He was devoted to his family and often said he had the best family in the world. He was a self-taught mechanic, who enjoyed working on cars and helping others with theirs.
