Georgia was preceded in death by two husbands, Melvin Hadley and Roger Plum. She was the loving mother of Melvin Hadley Jr. (Bambi), Sherry Surrey (Robert), Janice Gabauer (Phillip), the late Marsha Hadley, and the late Carolyn Hadley. Georgia was the proud grandmother of Michael Hadley, Angela Austill-Maseratti, Steve Hadley (Julie), Adam Surrey (Stephanie), Russell Armenta (Lindie Young), and Rachel McIntyre (Elijah). She was the great-grandmother of Lauren Powers, Ryan Powers, Ava Armenta, Kaden Hadley, Elizabeth Surrey, Sawyer Surrey, Evelynn Surrey, Ember Surrey, Emilia Surrey, the late Rahsaan Hadley, and the late Marion Surrey; great great-grandmother of Caroline Persinger. She was the sister of the late John Turner, Bennie Turner, and Esther Hadley. She will also be dearly missed by her dogs, Loretta and Benny.
Georgia was the heart of her large family, which meant everything to her. Known for her spunky personality and quick wit, she was always cracking jokes and bringing laughter to those around her. Her family lovingly described her as ornery, a trait that made her all the more cherished. She had a passion for cooking and made sure no one ever left her home hungry. A devoted Kansas City Royals fan, she never missed a game and loved cheering on her team. Georgia will be deeply missed, but her love, humor, and warmth will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
