Born on November 17, 1981, in Mason City, Iowa, she was the beloved daughter of Steven and MaryLou Rice of Independence, Missouri.
She is survived by her husband, Jeremy “Kiel” Marriott, and her three children, Charlie (13), Derrick (7), and Delanie (7), who were her greatest joys and the center of her world. Grace also leaves behind her sisters, Beth (Carl) Molle and Jaunna Rice, her parents Steven and MaryLou Rice, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and lifelong friends that will forever cherish her memory.
Grace brought warmth, humor, and a light-hearted joy into every room she entered. She had a remarkable ability to see the good in everyone and everything, always greeting others with a beaming smile, infectious laugh, and an open heart. Whether she was baking late into the night, singing loudly and off-key to old favorites, or offering a listening ear and unwavering support, Grace lived her life in service to others—always giving, always loving, always showing up.
She had a natural gift for making people feel seen, cared for, and included. Grace brought people together through laughter, food, and fierce loyalty. She met life’s challenges with a glass-half-full spirit and relentless positivity. Even during her hardest days, she remained a bright light—cheering others on, fearlessly facing her own battles, and spreading joy and hope right to the very end.
