She was born on February 14th, 1942, in Clinton County, Missouri to Jesse Dawn and Ruby Jane Kirkpatrick. She graduated from Plattsburg High School with the class of 1960. After graduation she moved to Kansas City, Missouri and began her working career as an employee for Mobil Oil and KMBC TV. She would later join Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad (BNSF), retiring after over 30 years of dedicated service.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Ruby Kirkpatrick; her two sons, Josh Anton Kral and Howard William Kral; her siblings, James G. Kirkpatrick, William D. Kirkpatrick, Maurice A. Kirkpatrick, and Thelma D. Craig.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly D. (John) Ertz; her son Jesse D. (Dana) Kral; and her youngest daughter Bobbi S. Kral (Douglas Ryan); her brother, Evan Kirkpatrick. She spent many years striving to be the best mother possible to 5 children and was eventually able to do the same for her 7 grandchildren; Colton Kral, Cody Kral, Callie Kral, Zach Kral, Natalie Ertz, Charlie Ertz, and Josi Kral.
She was a hard-working, self-less, stubborn, feisty, loving, and caring woman. She cherished life, God, her parents, her children, and grandchildren. She opened her heart and home to all those who needed it. She was very loved and will deeply be missed by many.
The Family would like to thank the Staff of Homestead of Olathe Memory Care North & Monarch Hospice for all their care and love they provide to our mom during this difficult time.
