James Thomas Stark

James T (Jack) Stark passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at VA Medical Center. He was born to Minnie and Jay Stark on June 20, 1924. He grew up in Laclede and Brookfield, MO with nine siblings. Jack served in the US Army 86th Artillary Division. He served in both Germany and Japan in WWII. He worked for American Bakeries in NKC for 31 ½ years before retiring in 1986. He then worked at KCI Airport as security and wheelchair assistance until he was 87 y.o He had an extreme passion for his yard, plants and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Clyda Stark, Son: Tom Stark and his wife Jean of Bolivar, MO and daughter Dianne Geist and her husband John of Kansas City, MO. Sisters: Evelyn Thomas (Jack) of Gibbs, MO and Linda Stark of Trenton, IL. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Also three brothers and four sisters. He leaves six grandchildren: Amy Vaughn (John), Lisa Green (Jason), Tina Grauerholz (Zach), Trisha Miller (Jerome), James Geist (Megan) and Jonathan Geist (Brandy). 12 Great Grandchildren and 31 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 9-11am Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Antioch Church , 5201 Antioch Road, Overland Park, KS 66202 with burial following service at White Chapel at 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119
