Jeanie Russell Barnes

Jeanie will be remembered as a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a dedicated Registered Nurse for over 50 years, including Truman Medical Center for 30 years. Jeanie was a private pilot, performed as a professional clown, an avid rose gardener, active at Hillside Christian Church where she volunteered, a hospice volunteer, and enjoyed traveling with the RV Club across the country as well as traveling overseas.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maury; her sister, Jan; brother, Buddy.

Survivors include her children Nancy Russell (Tommy Newhouse), Richard (Annette) Russell, Daniel (JoLinda) Russell; grandchildren, Michael, Marcus (Holly), Joe, Christopher (Whitney), Cathryn, Ryan, Rebecca (Gabriel), and Rachel (Scott); great grandchildren, Ella, Chloe, Hadley, Emeline, Chase, Makiyah, Miles, Alayna, Keegan, Gavin, Jacelyn, and Harper.

A Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Wednesday January 3, 2018 at White Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will Tuesday January 2, 2018 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
