Born on May 12, 1927, in Buffalo, Missouri to Hugh and Opal Lewey. Jessie was a beacon of love and dedication, admired for her resourcefulness and caring nature.
After graduating from Buffalo High School, Jessie embarked on a fulfilling career, initially at Davies Chevrolet in Buffalo, Missouri, and later at Amy's Hallmark Cards Store in North Kansas City, Missouri. Her work ethic and warm personality made her a beloved figure among colleagues and customers alike.
In 1948, Jessie married Charles H. Keeton and moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where together they built a life filled with love and mutual respect. Jessie's role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was where she truly shined. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Jessie is survived by her loving children, Frances (Bob) Allison, Jerry (Crystal) Keeton, Dennis (Lisa) Keeton, and Kevin (Julie) Keeton; as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Charles H. Keeton; her son, Charles L. Keeton; daughter, Marilyn Harris, and son-in-law, Greg Harris.
A fan of Hallmark movies and an avid solver of crossword puzzles, Jessie found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her gentle spirit and enduring kindness will be missed by all who knew her.
The Keeton family will receive friends and loved ones at White Chapel Funeral Home, (6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, Missouri 64119). Visitation will be held on Friday September 19, 2025, from 12:30 - 2 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2 PM. Burial will be conducted immediately after the service.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Keeton, Dennis Keeton, Jerry Keeton, Bob Allison, Kevin Harvey, and Joseph Harvey.
