John Charles Acton

Mr. John Acton, 61, died unexpectedly on March 13, 2023. John was born on March 23, 1961, in Kansas City, MO to Albert and Evelyn Acton. He graduated from Winnatonka High School in 1979. John married Nancy Estep the mother of their 3 children in 1980. Nancy passed away in 1988. John spent his work life as an automotive mechanic and in asphalt maintenance. His children remember him as a hard-working supportive father, who loved entertaining, working on old cars and being a grandpa (PA). John’s passions included decorating for Halloween and Christmas. He would spend weeks in his yard leading up to each holiday, adding something new every year. He also had a soft spot for any old dog that needed a retirement home. John was known for opening his home to family and friends. John is preceded in death by his wife Nancy, son Eric, parents Albert and Evelyn, and sister Wanda. John is survived by his daughters Nikki (Adam) Klemencic, Jesse (David) Kimbrell, grandchildren Josie, Ryan, and Axel and his partner Michelle Cox.
