
MARK ALLYN DAHMS Mark A. Dahms, 52, of Kansas City, MO passed away June 9, 2015. He was born October 13, 1962 in Boise, Idaho. Mark, a 1981 graduate of North Kansas City High School, lived all of his life since infancy in the Kansas City Northland. Mark began his life’s career at American Laminates in Fairfax, Kansas through his high school COE program. He worked more than 25 years as a mill worker, specializing in Custom Countertops, until his disabling heart attack at age 45. Mark met Roberta in 1985 in a Northland Singles Bowling League. They married in 1986 and were blessed with a son Matthew, in 1988. For many years Mark coached, encouraged and cheered for Matthew as he played baseball from age 6 through college. Many a family vacation occurred at an out-of- state baseball venue. Mark was an avid sports fan with NASCAR (Jeff Gordon) and the Kansas City Chiefs as his favorites to follow. His two passions were visits to Disney World, beginning with his honeymoon (Grumpy of the Seven Dwarfs was his main man0, and fishing/boating on his 18 foot bass boat. Mark loved his family beyond measure and he has left a giant hole in their hearts. Mark is survived by: his wife, Roberta Lewis Dahms, son, Matthew A. Dahms. Father, Roger W. Dahms and mother, Ellen L. Owens, of Kansas City. Sister-in-laws Diane Murphy, Lois Lybarger and Patricia Trice. Brother-in-law John A. Lewis. Uncle, Gary Dahms, and wife Judy of Houston, Texas. First cousins, Diane Taquino, Renee O’Quian and Brian Dahms of New Orleans, Louisiana. Aunt Lucille and LaVerne Bear; first cousin Sue Forrest of Marshalltown, IA.
