Marvin Earl Thiel, 93, of Gladstone, MO passed away June 24, 2015. He was born near Gypsum, KS and had lived in the Kansas City area since 1952. He was employed at Sesco Engineering of North Kansas City for 35 years before retiring in 1987. He served in the Navy in World War II. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mildred; 2 sons, Kurtis L. Thiel of Gladstone and Tracy Lee (Pamela) Thiel of Perrysburg, OH; 2 grandchildren, Kristen and Kevin Thiel; sister, Nadine Swisher and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 26, at White Chapel Funeral Home with burial at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Harvesters.
