

Mary L. Clark, 94, of Kansas City, MO., died Monday, May 11, 2015, at the Riverside Rehabilitation and Care Center. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 at White Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. Mary Louise Clark was born to George and Inez (Peach) Russell September 7, 1920 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was baptized during a Baptist revival at age 10. She graduated from Northeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1937. Mary received comptometer training to do bookkeeping work during high school and worked for several companies including Tobler Flowers and Railway Mail Credit Union. Mary married Randolph Clark on January 10, 1942 prior to his deployment in the Army. They made their home in the Kansas City North area following his return. They moved their family to a new home in the Gashland area in 1954. Mary remained in that home until August, 2008 when she moved into an apartment at the Gardens at Barry Road. She relocated to Riverside Rehabilitations and Care Center in 2012 after she broke a hip. She passed away during her sleep Monday, May 11, 2015 reaching the age of 94. She was a member of the Gashland Presbyterian Church for many years. She enjoyed using her talent for flower arranging to help decorate the church. Mary enjoyed shopping with her family and friends. She loved to play cards, especially Hand and Foot. She and Randy made many trips around the United States and across Canada on the train. Following Randy’s death, Mary travelled with many good friends to Alaska, England, and Australia-her favorite trip. Mary is survived by her children Judy (Dick) Partlow of Primghar, Iowa; Stephen (Kathy) Clark of Aurora, Ohio; and Paul (Mona) Clark of Newton, Kansas. Mary’s seven grandchildren include Sarah (Chris) Cline of Smithville, Missouri; Rebecca (Josh) Moermond of Sutherland, Iowa; Benjamin (Kristene ) Partlow of Gillette, Wyoming; Hilary (Matt) Bott of Brighton, Michigan; B.J. (Erin) Clark of Olathe, Kansas; Ian Clark of Witchita, Kansas; and Aaron Clark of Newton, Kansas. Mary enjoyed spending time with her thirteen great-grandchildren Hannah, Noah, and Madelyn Cline; Case, Dain, and Gabe Moermond; Ella, Karver and Zane Partlow; Carleigh and Lowen Bott; Jillian and Reagan Clark; and also with her many nieces, nephews, and good friends. She is reunited with her spouse Randy, her parents, her sister Martha Holbrook, brother-in-law Newell Holbrook, and nephew Jim Logan. Memorials will be directed to Hospice Advantage in Liberty, Missouri.
