

With heavy hearts, but loving memories, we lay to rest our dad, papa, brother, and uncle. Michael P. Wewers, 70, of Kansas City MO, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015, at the Veterans Home in Cameron, MO. Born to Bernard J. and Helen B. (Siebenmorgen) Wewers, on July 13, 1944, in Paris, AR, Mike was one of a set of twins. The family moved to KC, KS in 1950. Mike graduated from Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Bishop Ward HS in KC, KS. Inducted in the Army in 1965, he served over a year in Vietnam. Upon his return from the military, Mike worked in the printing dept. of TWA, retiring after 39 years. After retirement, he actively enjoyed his loves of: fishing, K-State football, and cooking tasty BBQ. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, James L. Wewers, Mike leaves behind: daughter, Cara (Pete) Kensinger, Cypress, CA; son, Jason Wewers, Parkville, MO; grandkids, Skylar and Kaleb Kensinger, Cypress, CA; sister, Barbara Wewers (Jim) Beatty, KC KS; brothers, Harold (Anita) Wewers, KC, MO; twin brother, Richard (Susan) Wewers, Newport Richey, FL; David (Marcia) Wewers, Shawnee, KS; and sister-in-law, Vickie Wewers, Edmond, OK. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, also mourn. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Friday, May 22, 2015, at White Chapel, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO. Memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at White Chapel. Inurnment will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Stroke Foundation, 5916 Dearborn, Mission KS 66202; and Sanctuary of Hope, 2601 Ridge, KC KS, 66102.
