Nico was a Kansas City, Missouri fire fighter and was a life saver. Survivors include 4 children; David Whisler (Krystal), Catalina Cruz, Leo Cruz, and Eloise Cruz; parents, Vicky Queen and John Cruz; brother, Leo Manser (Ronda); and grandchild, Odyn Whisler. He also leaves many relatives, friends, and his fireman family. Nico was a cherished son, father, nephew, grandfather and grandson. Because he had a huge heart, he participated in many charitable organizations, including Muscular Dystrophy Association and Bikers Against Child Abuse. At the age of two, Nico (also known as Nicky to his family) attended a Moody Blues concert with his Mom. They were the first of many musical legends he saw in concert before the age of five, and this began his lifelong love of music. He also loved his motorcycles and riding in the wind. He loved reading. His favorite author as a child was Shel Silverstein. He was not only a cherished family member, but also a cherished friend. He was beloved by many and will be deeply missed.
