Born on October 20, 1933 to Clarence and Bessie Darrah of Kansas City, Missouri, she was the youngest of their three children.
An outgoing and engaging person, Pat loved social situations. She was quick with advice, and quicker still with humor. A perpetually busy and curious person, she found a place for herself working in education and later in government. Whether it was during her time at the admissions office at Park University, at Phillips Petroleum, or finally, with the Department of Labor, Pat made friends everywhere she went.
She and her husband, John loved to travel. As a veteran of the Navy, John was invited to several ship reunions. These events took them all over the country. A former member of the Parkville Flower club, Pat loved working in the yard and never minded getting her hands dirty. She was also a champion of the girls’ night out and loved any excuse to attend a dance or go out to dinner.
She was preceded in death by her parents and older sister, Elizabeth (Darrah) Jimmerson. Pat was also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John Aladeen, and her later companion of 8 years, Earl R. Wilson.
She is survived by her brother, Clarence Jr., as well by her two children. She leaves behind her son, John Kevin, his wife, Vilma and their son, John Mark. A special thank you is due to Vilma for her constant care and companionship. She also leaves behind a daughter, Kelly (Aladeen) Devlin, her husband, Gary and their son and daughter, Kyle and Kathy.
She is under the care of Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held on December 10, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Sunset Hills Cemetery, 604 Colbern St, Warrensburg, MO.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Patricia Louise Aladeen's memory to Wayside Waifs, one of her favorite charities.
