Patricia Helen Hummel, 90, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, surrounded by family. Patricia was born on December 6, 1935, in Mobridge, South Dakota to Anton and Katherina Schneider. Patricia married Joseph L. Hummel on April 6, 1953. They relocated to Kansas City in 1965. Patricia was a homemaker and later worked for Venture Store and Kmart.
Patricia was a dedicated member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hummel, her parents and siblings; Elsie Williams, Delores Hauck, Luella Hach, and Harvey Schneider and great granddaughter Lakelynn Macken-Hummel.
Patricia is survived by her six children: Terry (Jeanie) Hummel, Cheryl (Brian) Parker, Cindy Swift, Brenda (Larry) Jewett, Dennis (Jennifer) Hummel, Vickie (Jeff) Swafford, and 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 10:00 am with visitation 9:00-9:30, pray of the rosary at 9:30, at St. Andrews the Apostle Parish, 6415 NE Antioch, Gladstone, MO. Entombment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, 6415 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119, US, on March 9, 2026, from 9:00 am to 9:30 am, followed by the Rosary at the same location on March 9, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:00 am.
