Patrick Jay Manley of Kansas City, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 4th, 2018 at the age of 62. Pat was the devoted and loving father of Aaron Manley, cherished son of the late Maxine and Frank Thomas and respected member and brother of the I.A.T.S.E. Local 31.
Pat had just recently retired as the steward of The Midland Theater and had previously served as both the elected Business Agent and President of the I.A.T.S.E. Local 31. Proving his passion and dedication for more than 39 years to maintaining excellent standards and always ensuring the show would go on.
Pat was a friend to everyone he met, from the countless tours that graced his stage, to the many local brothers and sisters and venue employees he saw come and go throughout his illustrious career at The Midland Theater. He was happiest when he was on stage or caring for his dogs, Moose and Franco, but mostly when he was spending time with his best friend and son, Aaron.
Pat was loved and respected by many and will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
A celebration of Pat’s life and accomplishments will be held on Monday, July 16th at The Midland Theater,
1228 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64105. Doors will open at 5:00pm. A celebration service will be held at 6:30pm, followed by an open house reception until 10:00pm
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be sent to KC Pet Project or Midwest Music Foundation in memory of Patrick’s name.
