Rusty was born on September 6, 1936, in Bashor, Kansas to Raleigh Morgan Saighman and Mildred May Saighman. Rusty finished his schooling with a GED but was a "Jack of all trades." He spent time in the aviation industry, fire suppression, building maintenance along with real estate, just to name a few. Rusty lived his entire life in the Kansas City area and had four biological children, and two step children.
Rusty is preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Saighman; son John David Saighman; step children, Gary Strevel and Donna Bingham.
Rusty is survived by his wife, Jayne Saighman; children, Donald Saighman, Christine (Phillip) Lewis, Bear (Tammy) Saighman; sister Nancy (Dale) Amfhar and many loved grandchildren.
