Rilla Jo Kirchhoff

Rilla Jo Kirchhoff, 77, of Kansas City, MO, passed away March 28, 2015. Visitation will be 6-8pm, March 31, 2015 at White Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11am, Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 5409 NW 72nd Street, Kansas City, MO, 64151. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery, in Kansas City, KS. Rilla Jo was preceded in death by her 1st husband, David L. Swanson, and her brother, Richard D. Berve. Survivors include her loving husband of 12 years, Roger Kirchhoff of the home; children, Eric Swanson, Lea Ann Haar, Kelly R. Kirchhoff (Laura) and Todd Kirchhoff; 7 grandchildren and her brother, David J. Berve. Rilla Jo was a purchasing agent for Owens Corning Fiberglass. She was also a devoted volunteer for the Kansas City, Kansas Red Cross. After retiring from Owens Corning Fiberglass she became a full time employee for the American Red Cross. She volunteered many hours in several church council positions at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as traveling to Hawaii and other locales. She was blessed with a generous heart that she loved to share with others in all she did. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to The Red Cross 1600 Washington Blvd, Kansas City, KS 66106.
