Robert C. Hill

Robert C. Hill (Bob) 76, of Kansas City, MO passed away December 17, 2016 peacefully at North Kansas City Hospital. Bob was born February 12, 1940 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen, whom he was married to for 48 years; his parents, Earl and Frieda Hill; and his brother, Ronald Hill. Bob was an Oklahoma State University graduate and a member of the SAE fraternity. He then went on to UMKC Dental School where he met Karen. He practiced in North Kansas City where he retired in 1999. Bob loved fishing, with countless trips to Canada, was an avid gardener, where he specialized in growing orchids and tomatoes. He was a member of Hillside Christian Church and the North Kansas City Rotary Club. He sang in numerous church and community choirs, volunteered countless hours to the Northland Christmas Store and Missouri Stream Team. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sports and performances. He is survived by his two sons and daughter-in-laws, Craig and Gena of Gladstone and Jason and Jill of Liberty; and his six grandchildren Ethan, Jonathan, Robbie, Alex, Kiley and Andrew. His family will miss his knowledge, patience, wisdom and love. In lieu of flowers, please send gifts to the Northland Christmas Store (PO Box 28403 KC, MO 64188).
