Robert, 76, of Riverside, MO passed away on Friday March 30, 2018 at the Kansas City Veterans Hospital. Robert was born in Kansas City, MO on June 19, 1941 to Samuel and Gwendolyn (Sterling) Wilcox. Robert served proudly in the US Air Force as a missile mechanic and later went to work as an automotive mechanic until retirement. Robert's hobbies included building race cars and cycle cart cars, an amateur draftsman, and was an active Mason and Shriner at the Ararat Temple where he served on the Director's Staff. He spent a few years in California as a beach bum. He was a practical joker who gave good and bad jokes equal treatment-he told them all. He is probably kicking himself that he missed April Fool's Day by 2 days. He loved coffee and apple fritters and was a huge fan of macaroni and cheese. He had the same phone number for 38 years. Who does that? Robert was a dedicated father who sacrificed a lot for his children.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
Robert is survived by his brother, Richard (Phyllis); his daughters, Laura (David) Ragan and Jeanne (David) Schreindl; his son, Bradley McGar; grandchildren, Gwendolyn McLaughlin and Michael Schreindl; and close friend, Sandy Baptist.
