

Scott Allen Lee, born March 13,1958 in Dallas, TX passed peacefully with his wife and sons beside him, Tuesday, April 21, 2026, following a valiant battle with Interstitial Lung Disease. He was a beloved son, husband, father, brother and friend, deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is the son of Gene Lee and Arden (Lee) Barrett, and stepson of Dr. Paul A. Barrett.
Scott was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Sarah Upchurch Lee & Fred Lee; maternal grandparents, M.J. and Theressa Cuadra and step-sister Tara Barrett Petroll.
Scott married the love of his life, Louise Walker Lee, July 4, 1987, at a fairytale ceremony in Chesterfield, England. Scott and Louise celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary in 2025. Together they raised two sons in Jones, OK. John Patrick Lee, now of Salt Lake City, UT and Nathan Myles Lee, of Denver, CO.
The Scott Lee family enjoyed decades of transatlantic visits and treks exploring the world with his father and mother-in-law, John and Sybil Walker, of Chesterfield, England. From the pyramids in Egypt to the ruins of Pompeii.
Scott and Louise worked hard to provide their boys an idyllic country setting replete with horses, many loving dogs, bountiful gardens, and room to kick balls and run—athletic talents Scott mutually shared with his soccer, football and track standout sons, Patrick and Nathan.
Raised in Oklahoma City, Scott attended Putnam City Schools K-11, and graduated from Sausalito High School in CA. Following service in the U.S. Army, he parlayed his interests in engineering, music, and electronics into a life-long career with PAiA eventually becoming owner of the Paia Corporation.
Scott shared his wife’s dedication to Educational Television’s mission in both the Oklahoma City and Kansas City, MO markets, serving as a volunteer for over 30 years. Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity and The Regional Food Bank are among the local outreach organizations he shared his gifts and talents with, as well as The Oklahoma Humane Society.
Scott will be deeply missed by his large brood of siblings and their families—Shannon Lee Pentz, Edmond, OK, Kent & Sarah Lee, Oklahoma City, OK, Kregg & Marlene Lee, Oklahoma City, OK, Sabrina Barrett Dunlop and husband Don Donlop, Yukon, OK and Brac & Joncee Barrett, Oklahoma City, OK.
Scott leaves an abundance of cherished memories among his in-laws John Walker and wife Catherine, Ashover, England; Helen and Terry Harman, Austin, Tx and Jane Taylor, Chesterfield, England.
Nephews, nieces, and cousins alike will fondly remember Scott’s thoughtfulness, intellect, mischievous sense of humor, and his special holiday pours! A Celebration of Life will be held on April 26th at Newcomer’s White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119. Visitation at 1:00pm, Service at 2:00pm with a gathering at 4009 NW Claymont Dr., Kansas City, MO following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 90.9 The Bridge or bandofangels.org in memory of Scott Lee.
The family wishes to send a special thank you for the wonderful care and compassion from the medical staff at NKC Hospital, Norterre Rehabilitation and the staff with Novus Lifecare. Because of your dedication Scott enjoyed being home for Christmas and spent many more months of precious time with his family.
