Sharon was born on November 11, 1944, in Clinton, Missouri, to Harold Lynn Clark and Doris (Ammons) Clark. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Michael Quinn; her daughter, Kristin Duello (Dave); and her cherished grandchildren, Madison Duello and Cameron Duello, who brought her endless pride and joy.
Sharon is also survived by her sisters: Linda Haynes (Rich), Vickey Long, and Angel Christian (Brad Ireland). She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews: Brett Haynes (Rose); Scott Long (Deborah Billingsley); Elizabeth Coleman (Kyle); and Kyle Christian (Makenzie), as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves many cousins, with whom she shared countless fun times, laughter, and family adventures over the years. Sharon’s warmth, humor, and loving spirit created memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.
She graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City, Missouri, where she met the love of her life, Mike. The two dated throughout their high school years and were married on June 10, 1967, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in love, loyalty, and family.
Sharon’s work life reflected her devotion to both family and community. She began her career at Western Auto in downtown Kansas City, then chose to stay home to raise her daughter. She later worked in the library at Oak Park High School and joined the counseling office at North Kansas City High School, where she worked until multiple sclerosis limited her ability to continue.
Above all else, Sharon loved her family. She was happiest when her home was full, hosting holidays and celebrations that created memories lasting generations. She loved to travel and enjoyed many memorable trips, had a deep passion for reading, and took great pride in her antiques and her remarkable talent for decorating. As her multiple sclerosis advanced, Sharon found comfort in the simple joys she loved—watching The View, HGTV shows, and Hallmark movies, spending time reading books, and keeping up with her favorite People magazines.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Tiffany Springs Assisted Living and Monarch Hospice for their compassion, kindness, and exceptional care of Sharon. A visitation and celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 N.E. Antioch, Gladstone, Missouri, on Saturday, February 28, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Private urn placement will be in the mausoleum at White Chapel Cemetery.
