It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Steven Allen Turner, who left us on March 24, 2025. Born on September 22, 1953, Steven led a full and vibrant life, touching the hearts of many with his adventurous spirit and memorable humor.
Steven grew up in Gladstone, Missouri, and he took great pride in his high school times at St Pius X High School, graduating in 1971. After graduation, he began a long and fulfilling career at the Ford Motor Company, Assembly Plant, UAW Local 249, where he remained a dedicated worker until his retirement in 2004.
His love for the outdoors was unparalleled; he treasured fishing, spending time outside, and working on his house or yard. He enjoyed watching anything on the History Channel or National Geographic and found pleasure in puzzles, collecting glass art and creating his own works of art. Steven’s enthusiastic personality was infectious and those who knew him would often describe him with a sparkle in his beautiful blue eyes. He cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren and his smile truly lit up in their presence.
Steven is survived by his loving son, Jeffrey Turner (daughter-in-law, Sara Turner and granddaughter, Chloe Beth) and his devoted daughter, Lisa Hale (daughter-in-law, Ginger Hale and grandchildren, Lexi, Leah, Lila, Isaiah Jack and Grayson Allen).
He was predeceased by his son, Jamey Turner; his parents, James and Germaine Turner; and his brother, Ron Turner. They surely welcomed him with open arms and hearts in Heaven.
Friends and family are invited to remember and celebrate Steven's life on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11 AM at Stroud's Oak Ridge Manor (5410 NE Oak Ridge Dr. Kansas City, Missouri 64119). As we honor his memory, let us remember the joyous moments, life lessons, and the love he poured into our lives.
Steve, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
