He was born on August 31, 1967, in Collinsville, Illinois to Vincent and Ruth (Clark) Messina. Troy would graduate from Collinsville High School in 1985.
Troy married Angela Hunt in 1987 and together they had two sons. Troy later married Dianna Meyer in 2017.
Survivors include his wife, Dianna; sons, Brandon (Amanda) Messina, Logan Messina, and Corey (Alycia) Meyer; and three grandchildren, Allison, Rylee, and Bennett.
Troy worked for the Ford Assembly Plant in Claycomo, Missouri for just under 11 years where he had an extended family with his coworkers. He was an avid sports fan but especially loved cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Vince Messina.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Hunt Family Foundation or the KC Pet Project.
