Valasta was born on July 6, 1920 in Rhea, Arkansas to Clint England and Alta Roberts. She married Ralph Shook, on October 28, 1946. Over the marriage of 61 years, the couple had nine children. Valasta set about teaching them about the Good Book and to be soldiers of Christ. She was a loving homemaker, always tending to her husband and family, later in life she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and recently one new great great great grandson. She was a generous and dedicated individual who loved her faith and who was passionate about changing the world through Christ. She was an active and dedicated member of Moment of Truth Bible Baptist Church in Claycomo, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by parents; husband Ralph; a set of twins; sons William Lee Willis, Evert Douglas Willis and Donald Jay Willis; and grandson Christopher Cummings.
Valasta is survived by her children, son Charles Eugene Willis (Laveda), Mary Willis, Carolyn Boland, Sharon Miles (Denny), Jeannie Ledbetter and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and one great great great grandson.
A visitation for Valasta will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a celebration of life at 2:00 PM led by Pastor Phillip Coonce, burial will follow all at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119
