He was born on September 6, 1951 at Sister's Hospital in St. Joseph, Missouri to Dr. Robert K. Bridwell and Vivian M. Bridwell.
William worked with radios in his youth and was active in the Theatre at Central High School. He became a warrant officer in the US Army, flew helicopters in Korea until being grounded by an automobile accident. He worked nights on computers at American Electric when computers were on reels. When systems were upgraded, he returned to school in Kansas City. His final career was with Burlington Railroad, repairing computerized parts all over the United States to keep the trains moving.
William is survived by a brother, Ken (Cathie) Bridwell; a sister, Annette Clayton; and seven nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 10-11 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119.
