

She was the daughter of Malcolm F. Justice and Elizabeth Yarnell, she grew up in Jackson, Mississippi where she attended the University of Mississippi, Chi Omega.
While working as a flight attendant for American Airlines, she met and married airline entrepreneur Joseph Fugere.
She settled in Glastonbury in 1980's where she worked as a receptionist for Aetna and BKM Enterprises.
She married Kenneth Patrick Smith in 1991.
Elizabeth was an avid lover of the arts. She volunteered at the Eugene O'Neill Theater in Waterford, CT and was an accomplished calligrapher. She taught calligraphy classes and was active with Mystic Calligraphers for over 35 years.
Elizabeth is survived by her brother Malcolm Justice, her three children Joe Fugere, Justine Fugere and Jackie Fugere, and by her three grandchildren.
She is predeceased by Joseph Fugere and Kenneth Smith.
Family and friends are invited for a period of visitation Sunday, March 14th, from 3-5 p.m. at the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service for Elizabeth on Monday (March 15th) at 1 p.m. in the Congregational Church of South Glastonbury, corner of Main St. & 30 High St., with Rev. Richard Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Elizabeth's memory to the Hospice Visiting Nurses Association, 103 Woodland St., Hartford, CT 06105 or to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108.
