My condolences to the entire Ryals Brown and Payne family. My sincere sadness for your loss. I will always love my fond memories. She loved deep. Showed me the way to my happiness. She loved God so much. She was a believer. We had long conversations about our beliefs over the years. She was not afraid of death and knew the love of the afterlife, something we will all face. Blessings to the friends and family. Cis

Jocelyn my beloved SIL you will definitely be missed. Connecticut, Hawaii, Oklahoma and Texas are just a few of the places that we shared some fondest memories. Thank you for loving my brother Chevy and being fiercely protective of him (even though he could protect himself LOL) . However you was fiercely protective of everyone that had the honor and pleasure of being loved by you. Thank you for opening your heart, home and kitchen that included some deliciously prepared meals. I always told you I loved you but I never imagined my last “I love you” would happen so soon. We never made our trip together to Aruba however one day I will make it there in celebration of you. Rest In Peace Sis🥀

18 years ago our lives received the best gift when our brother Chevy married Jocelyn Payne. From day one we felt the love and loyalty. Jocelyn always made us laugh and kept us in line. She believed in family and loved us all hard. Her calls to make sure we were safe in Texas, to ask what the kids were up to, talks about cooking, the next trip and everything in between will forever be in our hearts and memories. Our prayers are with Chevy, their children and their families, and with her siblings and their families.

Jocelyn thank you for all that you shared with us. We are forever enriched by the love that you shared with us.

Love Greg and Theresa

In the early 1970s, Jocelyn and her dear departed mother, Dorothy, were early driving forces of greater Hartford's regional alternative high school called Shanti. We send heartfelt condolences to the extended family and friends of our loving friend, Jocelyn.
