Ken was a son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Baxter) Stubenrauch. Preceding him in death was his brother, Richard. He is survived by his devoted wife, Joan, sister Jan Bantz & husband Tom; brothers-in-law Robert Fischer and Kenneth Fischer; sister-in-law Fran Stubenrauch; nephews and their wives Michael & Beth Fischer, Christopher & Connie Fischer, Thomas & Adra Anna Stubenrauch, Ryan & Sarah Bantz; nieces Kristen Bantz, Stacey Lint & husband Scott, Sandra Aycock & husband Robbie; and 11 grand nieces and nephews .Ken was born in Illinois, moving to Wyckoff, NJ in high school and graduating from Ramapo High School. He was a '69 graduate from Bucknell University, and later earned his MBA at U of Connecticut. He worked his entire 40 year career as an engineer with Pratt & Whitney, transferring to IAE in marketing until he retired.
Ken loved the New England area, especially Glastonbury where he and Joan lived for 48 years. He enjoyed skiing, world-wide travel with Joan, serving as president for the Connecticut Horticultural Society, rooting on the UCONN women's basketball team including at several Final Four games, and fine food and wine. Family was a very important part of Ken's life, and he and Joan made themselves readily available to celebrate events with their families.
A celebration of Ken's life will be held September 28th, 3:00PM, at Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, CT 06033.
