Nancy Ann (Little) Stephens, age 65, passed away on December 29, 2011, after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Boston, MA, Nancy was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Belding) Little. She grew up in Lexington, MA and graduated from Lexington High School in 1964. She took some college classes and spent the majority of her working life as a Purchasing Specialist for Digital Equipment Corporation. She had many interests during her lifetime: she enjoyed riding horses, she earned her private pilot’s license and later in life she enjoyed traveling, square dancing and playing Bridge. She also greatly enjoyed researching her family heritage and was a proud member of the Society of Mayflower Descendents. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up and enjoyed watching numerous soccer and baseball games as well as band concerts and birthday parties. While she battled cancer, she was proud to have participated in a study testing experimental medicines which she hoped would help future generations by finding cancer’s cure.
Nancy is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Phillip B. Little. She is survived by her loving companion, Stanley Huntley of Glastonbury, CT, and sister-in-law Constance Ludwig of Elliot, ME. She also leaves behind her beloved son, Dana Barnes, his wife Susan and their son Jordan as well as her daughter-in-law Lisa Barnes and granddaughter Carli.
