

Adolph C. Determann, a generous and kind-hearted soul, passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on April 5, 1939, in Grantfork, Illinois, Adolph was one of four children born to Adolph and Edith Determann. After graduating from high school, he moved to Arizona, where he would build a life filled with love and dedication.
On January 9, 1960, Adolph married the love of his life, Donna Rinderer. Together, they raised a daughter, Kathy, and a son, John. Their marriage, a testament to enduring love, lasted over 51 years until Donna's passing on May 15, 2011.
In 1967, Adolph embarked on a journey of entrepreneurship by starting his own business, Adolph's Transmissions. His hard-working and reliable nature shone through as he worked in the business for 55 years. Even after selling the shop to his son John, Adolph continued to lend his expertise and support whenever needed, embodying the inspirational and thoughtful traits he was known for.
Adolph's legacy of love and family continues through his daughter Kathy (John II) Wommer, his son John Determann, and his three siblings, Marie Determann Bimes, Christopher Determann, and Velma Determann Causey. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Kira (Austin) Smith, John Wommer III, and Lane Adolph Determann, as well as three great-grandchildren, Peyton Smith, Teagan Smith, and Easton Smith.
Adolph had a passion for professional sports, especially basketball, and was a former season ticket holder of the Phoenix Suns. He also enjoyed cheering on the Arizona Cardinals. His love for decorating during Christmas brought joy to many, showcasing his thoughtful and generous spirit.
Adolph's son, John, fondly remembers how his father was always there to help, especially with his son Lane. Adolph's legacy of kindness, support, and love will be cherished by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on July 12, 2025, at 9:00 am at Christ's Church of the Valley, located at 7007 W. Happy Valley Road, Peoria, Arizona, 85383. Adolph's life was a testament to the power of love, dedication, and generosity, and he will be dearly missed.
