Beatriz Guirado Cobos

Beatriz Guirado Cobos, 85, of Peoria, Arizona passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2016. Beatriz was born on September 22, 1930 to Eduardo Enrique Guirado and Maria de Concepcion Armenta Guirado, in Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico. She was the fourth of five children. While working as a Pharmacy Assistant, she met Ricardo Palacios Cobos. They were married on September 22, 1957 and moved to the United States in 1961. Beatriz was a devoted wife and mother and a devout Catholic. Her biggest joys in life were spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, raising canaries and growing flowers. Beatriz was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her husband of 51 years. Her memory will be cherished by her children - Valdemar, Omar, Richard, Elmar, Mark, Marlo, Marvin and Cindy; seven grand children - Thomas Gerloff, Michael Gerloff, Tony Cobos, Alexandra Cobos, Michael Cobos, Joshua Cobos & Marisol Cobos ; one great grandchild - Michael Cobos; daughter-in-laws,Tammy, Mary, Jessica and Tracie; god daughters Mikayla and Jodie Courtwright; other family, neighbors and friends. Visitors are welcome to attend visitation on Thursday, January 21, from 11-1 pm, at the West Resthaven Funeral Home; the Funeral Mass on Friday, January 22, at 10 am, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church; and a celebration of Beatriz's life will be held on January 22nd, at 2:00 pm, at her home. The family requests that the interment services be private.
