Betty Jo Rogers returned to her heavenly home on August 12, 2016, after a valiant battle with a long illness, at the age of 90. Her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Betty Jo was born to James and Ada G. Simms, in Biggs, Oklahoma, on June 6, 1926. She was immersed in the Christian faith. She attended Phillips University, Disciples of Christ affiliated, in Enid, Oklahoma. There she met and married the love of her life, William Harvey Rogers in 1945.
Betty Jo and Will raised two children and devoted their time to the Disciples of Christ Church for many years of their married life. Will served as pastor in various churches in the Midwest. Betty and Will moved their family to Arizona in 1960.
Betty loved to sing and devoted her heart and soul expressing her love for the Lord through music. After her retirement from working as a title company officer in 1991, Betty spent her time singing for the Lord at the prison ministry throughout the Phoenix area, reaching out to the inmates through music and the scripture.

Allan and her husband Richard; four grandchildren: Tina, Christopher, Claire, and Matthew; five great-grandchildren, Brianna, Matthew, Rachel, Spencer, and Hazelle; step great-grandchildren, Harrison and Kyra; and one great-great grandchild, Erebus.
