Carmen was born on July 16, 1938 as Carmen Molina Cruz. She was the second of five siblings, brothers Ralph Cruz(Angie), Maximilian Cruz, Ramiro Cruz (Tarcillia) and sister Virginia Gatica (Luciano). Going to school, and living most of her life in Glendale, Az. she would meet her first and only love, father to her six children Henry Rojo Maya. They would marry for life August 14,1955. Devoted mother to Pearl Maya, Victor Maya, Henry Maya Jr (Yuko), Diana Yanko (Robert Yanko), Adela Frate (James Frate), and Darrell Maya.
Carmen adopted every child she met by heart as her own. Her pride and joy were her 17 grand children and 17 1/2 great grandchildren, known to all as "NANA". Her response, "I Love You More", whenever she heard the words, I love you.
She will forever be cherished for her generosity, kind hearted loving nature, and creativity. She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed embroidery, crocheting and making floral arrangements. She loved watching sports (especially the Diamondbacks and Az Cardinals), old vehicles, gardening and reading her bible. She was an amazing cook, never leaving anyone leave her home hungry. We will miss her tamales, tortillas, Nana tacos and albondigas.
Our mother will be known and always respected for her devotion to her faith and commitment to Jehovah, being baptized in 1973.
Mother may Jehovah God bless you eternally, as you have blessed and touched all our lives. May your life lessons, continue to be passed on in your honor and memory from generation to generation. You will always be forever in our minds and hearts. We love and miss your smile and laugh.
