

Carroll Vanoy Campbell, 95, better known as Cam, passed away on February 2, 2025, holding his beloved wife Patricia's hand. Born on October 30, 1929, in Lenoir, North Carolina, Cam was the devoted son of George and Alma Campbell and one of seven siblings.
Cam proudly served with the United States Merchant Marines and later the Navy at the end of World War II and during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a special agent for Continental Insurance for many years in Richmond, California, before transferring to Arizona in 1961.
On July 2, 1948, Cam married Patricia Ann Reynolds, and they shared a remarkable 76 years of marriage. Together, they had four sons: Michael, Patrick, Mark, and Danny.
Cam is survived by his beloved wife Patricia, three sons Mike (Naomi), Mark (Lois), and Danny (Sandra). He also leaves behind eight grandchildren—John, Allison, Karie, Randy, Leah, Kendra, Patrick, and Rachael—and 17 great-grandchildren. Cam is also survived by his two sisters, Grace and Katherine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Patrick, daughter-in-law Elsie, and four siblings.
In his younger years, Cam was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing golf and, most importantly, spending time with his family. Known for being devoted, honest, and faithful, Cam will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale beginning at 11AM. Committal service with military honors will follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery.
Cam resided in Peoria, Arizona, where his humor and lighthearted spirit brought joy to those around him.
