Cora M. Aviles was born on December 12, 1942 in Tucson, AZ to Charlie and Aurelia Patikan. Cora is survived by her husband Ernesto Aviles, her children: Rosanne Aviles, Ernie Aviles JR, Corinna Aviles, and Elisa Aviles. Her grandchildren, Deandra Aviles and Lorenzo Celis, and her twin sister, Dora Ortega. Cora and Ernesto were married on May 14, 1967, their love story is never ending. Cora always lit up whenever he was near, and that never changed. Their dedication and unconditional love for each other continues to be a source of inspiration for their children. My Mom lived by the Mother Theresa quote: Do small things with great love. She did just that, she gave wherever she saw anyone in need, with no reservations or judgment. My Mom was truly the light of our family, and she will continue to guide us and give us strength. She loved animals dearly and passed that onto her children. Mom courageously battled Alzheimer's for 14 years, and although it took a heavy toll on her, she never lost her sense of joy and gratitude. We were truly blessed to have her for as long as we did, although it is never long enough. If you would like to honor her memory, reach out in kindness to someone in need. Do small things with great love.
