David Wayne Holmes

David Wayne Holmes, age 67 entered the Kingdom of Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 7, 2025. David was born February 26, 1958 to Frieda Grace (Kepler) and Dale Holmes in Phoenix, Arizona.

David is survived by wife Diana Lynn (Burnette), daughter Danicka, son David and daughter-in-law Melissa, granddaughters Britlee, Shannon, Alexis, BrookeLynn, Kaitlin, Isabella, Alyssa, Diana, grandsons Scott, Christopher, Joseph, Vincent, great-granddaughter Ziggy, and his great-grandsons Ashton and Eli. He is also survived by his brother Charles and wife Susan, sister Jacque and her husband William Sibole, and many nieces and nephews who were as precious as sons and daughters to him.

David was preceded in death by his daughter Kathryn Gracelynn Holmes Harlock, parents Dale and Frieda Holmes, brother Daniel, and sisters MaryLynn and Dale Francis Holmes, Karen and brother-in-law William Burnette, his mother-in-law who was more like a mother, Billy Kathryn Burnette and adoptive mother, Thelma Altizer.

Alongside all of David’s grandsons, his nephews William Sibole, William Burnette, Dana Burnette and Derek Holmes will be honoring David by serving as his Pallbearers.

David’s Earthly body was under immense and constant strain, but with his unyielding courage coupled with the burning love he held for his family, David greatly outlived all expectations given to him leaving a lasting legacy of strength, perseverance and cherished memories that will undoubtedly live long in the hearts of those he loved so dearly.
