Dena was married to Raymond Duarte Jr. and had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout her life. She is survived by her step-children Blaze Duarte, Charity Tablada, Kellee Serrano, and Summer Cherry, as well as her sisters Sam Steinbach and Jackie Kastl, and siblings-in-law, Desmond "Desi" Duarte, Raynette Rawles, and Annette McCandless.
Dena will be remembered for her kind heart and the love she shared with those close to her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home in Glendale, Arizona on Thursday, March 6, 2025 beginning at 11:00 AM. Dena will be laid to rest with Raymond in Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
