February 28, 1927 – October 19, 2024
Dora Nardelli White left this world, at 97 years young, to join her beloved husband of 66 years, Jack, in heaven on October 19, 2024. She was born February 28, 1927, to Amalia Aguirre and Louis Nardelli, in Morenci, Arizona. Dora (“Kilo”) was the only surviving member of her original family of five children including: Bob, Joli, Molly, and Anna.
Dora and Jack made their home in Morenci, where they raised their family and worked for Phelps Dodge Corporation until retiring. Dora loved her job in the Business Office at Morenci Hospital and knew most everyone who visited the cashier’s window.
After retiring and leaving Morenci in 1984, Dora lived out her remaining years in Peoria, Arizona, where she enjoyed spending time with her family, or “precious moments,” as she called us. Children: Jacque White, Carl White (Claudia), and Leslie Cox. She was “Grandma” to ten grandchildren and “GG” to eight great-grandchildren—all whom she adored.
Dora had a witty sense of humor and a heart filled with love. When she was no longer able to go shopping and dancing, she enjoyed word search puzzles and games of rummy, tallying up scores quick as a whip until her last month of life!
