I am sooooooooooooooo BLESSED to have known Aunt Essie :-). I am sooooo very thankful for all of the terrific memories
when I was growing up,and thankful I was able to spend time with her when she moved back to Mo. for a brief time. I am
RICH in the number of wonderful people that I have known. "The red-headed" one, as my dad (Bennie) called her, may be gone, but like all of my other relatives,
whom i will always love & miss, she wull NEVER be forgotten.

My condolences to you all...saying a prayer for Lisa and picturing her happily reunited with Dad.  She was very kind to me when I was a little girl and came to visit each summer.  Taught me how to cook her favorite southern foods, and told me wonderful stories of her childhood.  She had the cutest story about her baby toe!  God Bless you all my thoughts and prayers are with you....

I was Lisa's & Virginia's Avon lady for several years.  My husband also came over and helped her on several projects around the house & yard.  We even showed Lisa how to grow tomatoes in the desert.  I was saddened when she moved to Mo. My heart grieved when I saw her in the paper this morning. You see... Lisa called me about a year ago, and gave me her phone number and address.  I wrote it down in my home phone book.  We get so busy in our petty little lives!  Month after month has gone by with me intending to send her a card & letter.  She was so special to Chris & I.  But month after month I never got around to TAKING the time to actually do it.  This morning when I saw her in the paper, I ran and got my phone & address book.  And there... under the P's was Lisa's information, and I saw that she had ALSO given me her email address.  If I'd just taken the time to look under the P's, I would have realized that I didn't have to take time to buy a card, write, address, and place a stamp on the envelope....I could have simply just sat down and typed her a quick email.  Now, it's too late and I feel so ashamed and disappointed with myself.  We get so busy in our lives that we don't take the time for the ones we love and care about.  Only last week, I heard a preacher on radio say that "the most precious gift we can give anyone is our time", and here I sit pondering and realizing  just how true that is!!!  I thought of Lisa often,  and continued to pray for her, but I didn't take the time to show her what she meant to me, and that I loved her.  I pray that she and God will forgive me. This wonderful, wonderful caring and thoughtful lady. She was an inspiration to all of us in the Ladies Auxiliary, and MOCA. She was the lady all of us wished and hoped we would be (when we grew up). With that true warmth and careing soul she had.She has made me personally want to try harder for understanding and compassion. I will miss the LAVFW Chaplain that I could look at in a meeting to give me courage and inspiration and stand strong. Thank you Lisa. Teresa, all I can say is anything you need, do not hesitate to call on me and your sisters. We love you!!

What a wonderful woman Lisa was, always a smile on her face, always the first to help and always a kind word for everybody.  She was an inspiration to us all and she will be missed so very much.  Love you Teresa, will keep you, your family and Al in our prayers.
