Earline Glidden

Earline (LaRue) Glidden 91, of Glendale, AZ, went to be with her Lord Jesus on June 26, 2013 She was born in Centerville, TN and moved with her parents and four brothers to Glendale, AZ in 1934, at the age of 13, due to her Dad’s health. She and her family joined the Glendale Nazarene Church that first Sunday where they became a very active part of the music dept. by starting a choir. She and Virgil Rossman Glidden met and married at the Nazarene Church on December 25, 1941, married for almost 62 years. She was a homemaker and had been sworn in as a Police Woman for the Glendale Police Dept. in 1954 where she was occasionally called to duty to search women prisoners. She was also involved in the Glendale Sunrise Lions Club for several years. Earline Glidden is preceded in death by her husband Virgil. Earline is survived by her children Nancy and husband Richard Ferguson, Patsy and husband Fred Sweeney and Peggy and husband Terry Powell and 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Her children arise and call her blessed. Her husband also and he praises her.
