

Eduwiges Barrera, 70, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024. She was born on June 19, 1954, in Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico, where she began her journey through life marked by love, resilience, and dedication.
Eduwiges was married to her beloved husband, Filiberto Barrera, on May 24, 1970, and together they built a life filled with cherished memories and an ever-growing family. She devoted her life to nurturing and caring for her family. Creating a loving and supportive home for all those she held dear.
Above all, Eduwiges found her greatest joy in her family. She is survived by her children: Maricela, Enrique, Leticia, Edith, Carlos, Vickie, and Juan. She was also a proud grandmother to Maggie, Angie, Leonardo, Jazmin, Isaac and Ian. She was a devoted sister to her siblings: Aquilina, Juana, Alfredo, Máximo, and María del Carmen. Her love and devotion to her family were evident in every moment she shared with them.
Eduwiges’ life was a testament to the strength of family bonds and the beauty of a kind heart. She will be remembered for her unwavering dedication, her selflessness, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were touched by her warmth and love.

Visitation: Sunday, January 5, 2025 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301, with A Rosary will follow at 7:30 PM.
