Emma Lee Claypool

Emma attended Academy of the Sacred Heart in Detroit, MI and graduated from Inkster High School in 1952. Her daughter Lynnette Marie Williams was born in 1953. Emma married William Claypool in 1954 and from this union Andre Rene Claypool was born who provided her a grandson Andre Rene Claypool Jr.

She worked for Northville State Hospital for over 35 years and received her Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Detroit. Emma was a world traveler visiting Egypt, Spain, Italy, France, Australia, and China to name a few. She became a Soror of the Detroit Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.

Emma and her daughter Lynnette arrived in Glendale, Arizona in 1994 where she suffered a series of strokes in 2000-2001 from which she never recovered and passed away Sunday April 14, 2013.

She leaves behind two children Lynnette Marie Williams of Glendale; Arizona, Andre Rene Claypool of Inkster, MI; two sisters Roslyn White (Harold) of Scottsdale, AZ and Joyce Grimes of Arlington, TX. Three brothers Julian Williams Jr. of Inkster, MI; Claud Williams of Upper Marlboro, MD and Theophilus Williams (Helen) of Columbus, GA: a grandson, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Her youngest brother Julius Williams preceded her in death in 2008.
