Our beloved mother, Gertrude Dapke, nee Jungwirth, 87, passed away on January 29, 2020 with her children by her side. She loved gardening, crafts, and planning family reunions. She enjoyed traveling and researching genealogy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome J. Dapke; her parents, Fred and Margaret Jungwirth; and three sisters, Marjorie (George) Simons, MaryAnn (Joseph) Sciulli, and Kathleen (Ken) Dyer.
She is survived by her children, Susan Peters, William Dapke, and Margaret (Jeff Hayes) Dapke; her two brothers, Fred (Jackie) Jungwirth and John Jungwirth; sister-in-law, Jean Morris; two grandchildren, Christina (Peter) Grossgold and Michael (Barbara) Peters; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Cooper, Carter, and Kaitlyn Grossgold; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
