4 years ago today, I lost a big part of my heart. I miss you every day and I can't get you back.  We're always going to be a part of one another and even though I can't see you, I know you're around.  I miss you, Gina.  Until the time comes for me to join the rest of you all in heaven, I will continue to honor your memory.  All my love cousin.

Today is 3 years since you've been gone but my heart tells me something else.  It seems like yesterday.   I miss you so much and just wish you were still here.  Nothing is the same without you and Cheryl, both of you were taken too soon.  You'll always be in my heart and prayers dear cousin.  I love you always.

I miss you so much.  We were like sisters.  My heart has a hole in it and the hole is you.  We shared so much, we laughed and cried together.  I miss talking to you.

Two years today and it feels like we just lost you yesterday. I have come to terms with the fact that I will never get back the piece of my heart you took with you when you passed. You are so missed by the family, and I try to talk about you as often as possible so your memory can shine. Being able to raise my god-babies is starting to become more natural now since I had such a hell of a role model as you. I miss you more and more everyday, and I hope to share the same love you did with everyone I meet. I love you Nina 💚

I worked with Gina at Pinnacle High School.  I have never seen anyone work as well with students to deescalate conflicts that may have occurred.  She always treated each person with kindness and respect.  Gina and I developed a very close relationship and every Christmas she would bring me tamales and I would bring her baklava.  Raymond and Tasina, your mom loved you so much and was so proud of you.  I remember you both fondly and hope the lifetime of wonderful memories will eventually replace the pain you are feeling so acutely now,

The news of your passing was sad and horrible news. Life is so unfair and unjust at times, but God needed you more. Thank you for being you, Gina! You were such an amazing person inside and out. I am the neighbor that you took under your wing as a younger sister. You brought piece when Chapito and I would fight/argue. You came to mine and Mona’s rescue when I decided to go joy riding in my dad’s car and the stupid tire fell off.  I still hear you saying, “Bebet(that’s what you called me!) what we’re you thinking or not!” You’d say things and laugh out loud with your infectious laugh.  Lol! You always came to my our rescue with not one hesitation. We weren’t blood related, but that didn’t matter…we were your family.  We had great times when we were neighbors. Thank you for being you, Gina! Although you aren’t here physically, I know you are here in spirit watching over everyone. May God embrace you and keep you. Rest In Peace Gina-my older-sis! 

I am sorry I wasn't able to attend your funeral today.

I can't  seem to wake up from this unbearable dream! Gina was a big sister to me and my Sister's & our brother. When she lived with us (Aunt Eva and Uncle John )in CA I remember her always having a food menu for the week ahead for our dinners. Gina had a Heart of GOLD! Jesus sure gained a beautiful soul! Her preceding to heaven has left a big hole in my heart  💔  I do know we will see her again. 
My Deepest condolences to her kids Raymond and Tasina and her grandbabies. My aunt Gloria, Mona, Lori my prayers to you all for understanding and strength.

I'm so saddened to hear of your great loss. I first met Gina at Pinnacle in 2001 when I started there in the nurse's office. She was so kind to me & always helped everyone no matter what office they worked in. I had the pleasure of getting to know her better over the next 17 years until I retired. We teased each other a lot & I'll not forget her infectious laugh! She'll certainly be missed, but the memories will remain forever. I can’t express how deeply Gina’s passing has impacted me.  I will always remember her warmth, love and accepting nature. She was a loving person always making me feel part of the family when I joined in 1994. I am so deeply saddened by her passing. Her family and everyone has lost a wonderful person. I am so sorry for the loss her family is experiencing. I will ways  honor and cherish my memories of Gina. I know she is with our Lord and Savior in heaven and watching over her family until they meet again.

I have nothing but fond memories of Gina, she always welcomed you with open arms and a beautiful smile. Always in the kitchen  something she and I had in common and shared quite a few recipes. Such a beautiful, loving , caring , giving kind hearted person, Always happy, She and her Tio Tom had a special relationship he was her peunedo, .  My heart goes out to her mother Gloria, Children Raymond and  Tocina, sisters Mona and Lori, grandchildren  and all those that were so special to her. I feel your pain one of the most beautiful angels on earth was called home. She’s wrapped  in the arms of Jesus snd is rejoicing in his love. Gina you will be greatly missed but will live on through the love you showed to your family and the many lives you touched, May you Rest In Peace and give your Tio Tom a big hug and kiss for me. I love you and thank you for showing me such kindness always. 

Gina was such a motherly, loving person.  As soon as you’d enter the door of a family gathering, she’d rush right up and give you a huge hug and warmly greet you with a smile as though you were her favorite person in the world. Her family was everything to her, and she lived her life embracing them with warmth, caring and laughter.

We cousins growing up would spend countless weekends together with our large, extended family into the wee hours of the morning eating, playing, and sometimes getting into mischief while adults danced to ranchero music all night.  

I remember a trip as adults we girl cousins  took to Buenos Aires. Mona, Gina and I went first. Mona was so absorbed faxing something for a house sale in the U.S. as we transferred planes, we didn’t get a chance to change any money. Then the plane couldn’t land in the city because of fog. So we had to take a 12 hour bus ride from a small town to the capitol. It was crowded and the only seats we could get were near the bathroom.  Gina had the bright idea of putting orange peels in her nose to block the smell. We looked like a weird group of “special” women with our nasal passages thusly stuffed.   Of all the things we did, Gina’s favorite in the city was to sit on the couch and watch the television feed of the front door of the building in the fancy apartment we rented, watching the action passing by. I mean for hours - it made her so happy we teased her mercilessly. She didn’t care - she was content. Simple things brought her joy.

Her children Tasina and Raymond were her life, along with all her grandbabies.  I never saw her happier than when she was fussing about them, teasing Bella, giving them big hugs, always laughing (well, sometimes scolding). 

I can’t imagine the world without her.  The joy and light she brought to my life; to all of our lives will never dim in our memories and our hearts. Rest in peace, dear cousin!  You are loved. You will never be forgotten.


It is still a bad dream for me to think that Gina is really gone.  We were so close growing up and I always seemed to get her into trouble.  Like when we snuck out of the house on Garfield about 4yrs old and walked to Circle K on Roosevelt to get candy. Aunt Gloria of course caught us and whipped our butts.  But no matter what mischievous ideals I came up with Gina always went along with me.  We even made promises to each other about when we grew up, one in particular that whoever had the first girl had to name it after the other.  She went to see me in the hospital after the birth of my daughter and asked me if I remembered the promise we made.  I acted like I didn't know what she was talking about which made her very sad because she had recently lost Anthony, her son.  What she didn't know was I had already filled out the birth certificate form and asked her to check on the papers that the hospital gave me.  She then seen the copy and that I did remember and had named my daughter after her.  I won't repeat the words that came out of her mouth but will say we laughed so hard we were both crying.  I will miss her beyond what words can describe.  My heart goes out to Aunt Gloria, Mona, Lori, Raymond and Tasina along with all her beautiful niece's, nephew and grandchildren.   Life is short...Kiss slowly, Love truly, laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that makes you smile. I Love you Gina, until we see each other again....

            Gina, my beautiful cousin, is someone I cherish. I was devastated to learn of her passing. She had a close relationship with my father (Uncle Tommy), who deceased on November 29, 2020. And Tommy, my deaf brother, was very devoted to her and Gina nurtured and protected him throughout his life. 
            I hadn't seen Gina in a long time since I resided in Indiana. Gina's last words to me at my dad's funeral were, "Please don't forget about us," and that is who she was. She loved every cousin of hers, including me.  I'm very fond of Gina. She had a beautiful smile on her face and across her eyes, and the vibrations of Gina radiated love, light and joy.  She also was a superhuman and an extraordinarily rare pearl.

I am so sorry that words cannot express what I am feeling. I knew Gina since she was a baby . I remember when we all lived together at the farm even than Gina was a fighter she and my son Tommy were always playing together . My heart goes out to Gloria her mother and to her sisters and all the family . Gina leaves a void in the hearts of so many people . May you Rest In Peace beside your Dad whom you loved   so much and all the relatives who have gone to rest before us . My prayers and love are with the family 

I loved my cousin Gina. She was a kind and loving person who had a wonderful sense of humor, and one heck of a good cook.
I was lucky to have spent two weeks with her in Buenos Aires Argentina, Gina and Mona made the trip so fun and exciting.
Gina was the most gracious hostess at our family Christmas Eve Rosary and she loved being Santa’s helper. She loved her children very much and her grandchildren even more.
I will miss her, she will forever live in my heart and memories. Love and prayers to her Family❤️🙏

Gina's smile made coming to work everyday enjoyable! Every morning she would share pictures of her children and grandchildren with me. Know she loved her family more than anything! My son would have to visit her desk every once in while... and found nothing but kindness. My heart is so broken knowing someone so beautiful is now gone. Gina, you are amazing and I know you are in heaven. Please keep watching over us 😘 I love you!

I attended pinnacle high school from 2009-2013 and fortunately for me I wasn’t the most behaved student. Fortunately because I was often called to the principal office in which without missing a beat I would be greeted by Ms.Gina. While I was just another kid on campus Gina made me feel as if she cared about me, and was always the nicest person in the building. She would watch me walk in and every time it was the same first two words “oh mijo”. She knew while I wasn’t the best student and person in class I wasn’t doing things maliciously and often times would end up taking my side after listening to what happened and how I was doing. My mother who also worked at the school became very fond of Gina both because of who Gina was as a person and because she would also be called to talk to the principal on occasion to try and help them talk sense into me. Gina loved our family and always made everyone seem as if they were her family. I wish I could tell Gina how much she would make me feel comforted right before I would get suspended or even expelled once. Gina was wonderful and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. I’m honored to have gotten to know her

I met Gina at PHS and she always made my day. She always made me smile and was a wonderful person. I think of her all the time. She was my sons life saver at Pinnacle and one of his favorite people in High School, thank you so much for always looking out for him.  You will be missed. Thank you for the memories. 

I can hear Gina’s laugh and see her wonderful smile! Gina was a special friend to my mom. She loved her Gina…everyone did! Gina will be truly missed. Sending love, prayers, and comfort to her wonderful family.
