

Age 62, of Phoenix, was a great woman, daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. A great loss....died in a tragic bus accident in Durango, Mexico on her way back to Chihuahua, Mexico, on her return to Arizona. She was the mother that most wish to have had, we had the pleasure to have and know in our lives. Graciela made us want to be a better person in all aspects of life. She was always on the go and with so much energy. Graciela will always be remembered and loved. She was born on September 2, 1949 in Chihuahua, Mexico. Graciela loved traveling, being with loved ones, reading novels, word puzzles, music, and collecting Mickey Mouse items. She is survived by her husband, Fernando Martinez; son, Fernando Jr. Martinez; daughters: Irma Martinez, Diva Martinez-Rodarte, Brenda Martinez-Rodarte; grandkids: Kassandra S. Martinez, Jasmine E. Martinez, Gizel A. Rodarte, Aine J. Rodarte, Laila I. Rodarte, Chanel K. Rodarte, Hector Jr. Rodarte; brothers: Jose Luis Ontiveros-Alvarez, Gabriel Ontiveros-Alvarez, Jesus Ontiveros-Alvarez, Sergio Ontiveros-Alvarez; sisters: Araceli Ontiveros, Maricela Ontiveros, Lourdes Ontiveros, Martha Ontiveros, Lili Ontiveros, Elsa Ontiveros. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Wednesday, July 20 at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, with Rosary at 7 PM. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 21 at Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral, 6351 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix. Interment will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale. Our Mother Lives On in Us....She lovingly nurtured us, when we were small and guided us as we grew. Her attitudes, values, hopes, and dreams become a part of us. And though she is gone, her love for us remains, and always will.......our mother lives on within our hearts, her spirit guides us still.
