Irene Ogas Chavez, age 74, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona.

Irene was a great athlete and played softball until she was 70 years old. She loved helping people in need and was a very kind person overall

Irene is survived by her husband Domingo "Sonny" Chavez; daughters Michelle (Hector) Lepur, Geneva (Kraig) Ballerstein; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Ogas, sister Nickie Mares and brother Manuel Dominguez.

A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary 7924 N. 59th Ave Glendale, Arizona at 11am
