Izzy D. Bustos, 56, of Phoenix, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in Glendale, Arizona. He was born on July 13, 1967 to Ysabel C. and Mary Duran Bustos in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Glendale High School graduating class of 1985. Izzy worked as maintenance for Apollo High School. On October 21, 2000 he married Felicia Bustos in Phoenix. They have three loving children - Isaac, Nikolas and Gabriella.
Izzy enjoyed watching sports and his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Arizona Diamondbacks. He enjoyed taking his sons to baseball games and coaching them as well. And on occasion would play dress up with his daughter!! Izzy was at every sporting event for all his kids. He also enjoyed playing with his german shepherd Zoe, she would be right on his heels for every walk and adventure he took her on. He had a passion for cooking and loved cooking for his family.
Izzy is survived by his loving spouse of 23 years, Felicia Bustos; parents, Ysabel C. and Mary; two siblings, Alicia and Veronica and brother in law Bino Escobar; and many other loving family and friends.
A Visitation will be held at 6pm at Chapel of the Chimes 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale, Arizona with a Rosary to follow at 7pm. Funeral Mass services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 2, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 10815 N 35th Ave, Phoenix, Arizona. Funeral Graveside services will follow the Mass at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 2, at West Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, Arizona.
