Jack A. Peterson

22 marzo, 1932 – 24 julio, 2020
Obituario de Jack A. Peterson
EN EL CUIDADO DE

West Resthaven Funeral Home & Resthaven Park Cemetery

Jack passed away in his sleep July 24, 2020, at age 88. Born in Phoenix, AZ, March 22, 1932 to Eva and Jack Peterson who was tragically shot and killed while being robbed, when Jack was 4 years old on Apr 29, 1939. Eva remarried Clarence Hancock who raised and mentored Jack.

Jack’s youth was filled with scouting, boxing, swimming and diving. He was on the swim and dive team in high school where he excelled. His entire life he loved anything to do with water. Jack was a dog lover and always had one by his side at work and home. His favorite was Annie.

His youth was spent in Phoenix and then Blythe, where he met the love of his life, Yvonne Sharp. They were married and lived there until Jack was drafted into the army and was sent to Japan where he learned to love the people and spoke enough Japanese to make his children believe he was an amazing linguist.

In his young adult years, Jack worked in the oil business until transitioning to becoming an entrepreneur. He was successful at several businesses and became an avid investor in real estate and other ventures.

Service was the upmost joy in Jack’s life. Helping his family, friends and even acquaintances was what he enjoyed most about life. Always the first to be there to help, he could not only dig a ditch with you for days, but could help you solve your IRS problems. He was a great father, as well as a father to his grandchildren who sometimes needed guidance. Being an active member of the LDS church, many miles were put on his truck in the service of other members moving, cleaning, painting or hauling.

Jack was very intelligent and had a clever sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his wife (Yvonne) and children (Sherri, Jana and Les) along with his seven grandchildren and ten great grandkids. Always in our hearts.
